In 2023, as a result of the cooperation of the Autonomous Non — Governmental Organization "Norilsk Development Agency", the Freediving Federation, Norilsk Nickel and Capital Group, a unique event was held on Lake Lama in the Krasnoyarsk Territory-the Putorana Depth 2023 deep freediving competition,which was attended by 10 athletes, including not only world-class Russian freedivers, but also Russian athletes from the Russian Federation. but also athletes who are beginning their career in sports freediving, who have been trained in Norilsk. As part of the competition, Alexey Molchanov set a world record - diving in a monolayer with a breath hold at 100 meters of depth — the deepest dive beyond the Arctic Circle.
Maxim Mironov, Head of the Norilsk Development Agency and Chairman of the Norilsk branch of the Russian Geographical Community NGO, became the inspirer and participant of the event. It is he who will appear on the stage of the Moscow Dive Show 2024 for the award in the "Ice Heart" category, talk about how the idea to organize freediving competitions on the Putorana plateau came about, how much effort was put into making this difficult undertaking possible, what difficulties he had to face in the process and in what other events on the lake Lam will be eligible to participate in 2024.
The show "Heroes of the Deep" starts at 17: 00 on Saturday, February 10, 2024 on the stage of Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. Any guest of the Moscow Dive Show 2024 can become a spectator of the show for free, just buy an entrance ticket to the exhibition.
Ticket sales will start on November 15, 2023.
