The agreement was signed with special economic area of ASEZA - and now next to the exhibition title there is going to be a logo of Aqaba. Jordan's Red Sea coast is only 26 kilometers, but what a 26 kilometers they are! The stated objective is transformation of this coastline in a continuous tourism cluster.
In this short time even by the standards of urban distance there are already more than a dozen of five-star and four-star hotels available. The investments into resort infrastructure are impressive. Aqaba has the ambition to become the gateway to the Red Sea - which, of course, is only for the benefit of domestic diver.
Plus direct flights to Amman and the most picturesque land programme : rocky desert of Wadi Rum and the rock city of Peter, large-scale actual Hollywood sets. Discoveries are yet to be made.
