We are pleased to inform you that the Moscow Dive Show ambassador, dive instructor, world record holder in the categories of "deepest dive" (among men) and "deepest dive in sea water" Ahmed Gabr will not only honor the exhibition with his presence again in February 2025, but will also take the stage of the dive show to talk about preparation and adaptation to cold-water and ice diving.
Ahmed Gabr has previously taken part in the international ice orienteering competition UNDERICE GAMES in Vladivostok. In 2024, he again took part in these harsh tests, and also brought his students: - Mohamed Obaid Mubarah Altenaj - record holder for depth in the UAE; - Royhan Ang - absolute champion for depth in Malaysia.
Foreign participants, who are obviously more accustomed to the heat and bright sun, tested their fortitude and frost resistance by diving under the thickness of Vladivostok ice and trying to maintain a positive attitude, in addition to fulfilling their immediate competitive task. Akhmed Gabr will tell about what turned out to be the most important in the preparation, how they managed to cope with the cold, what worked and what didn’t, and why they needed all this at all, on Friday from the stage of Moscow Dive Show 2025.
At the beginning of Akhmed Gabr’s speech, Dmitry Rudas’ film "Baikal Unconquered” about the preparation of a determined Egyptian for his icy adventures will be shown on the big screen.
