We are proud to introduce the ambassador of Moscow Dive Show 2025: Faisal Jawad, a Guinness World Record holder, PADI para-diver, founder of a rehabilitation center, and motivational speaker.



Living in Kuwait, Faisal Jawad was a promising football player for the Al-Salmiya Sports Club. However, a car accident drastically changed his life, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Isolated at home and unable to pursue his former dreams, Faisal was compelled to find a new purpose in life — and he discovered it in… diving.

Faisal practiced scuba diving in Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Maldives. He earned one certification after another, steadily advancing in the diving world. Through his journey, he has inspired the disabled community, proving that with determination and passion, anyone can achieve their dreams, no matter the numerous challenges they face every day.

"On one of my birthdays, I realized I wanted to change lives and become a source of inspiration for others, especially after hearing about many people with disabilities who had attempted suicide due to their struggles and disappointments," Faisal shares. "Two years after the accident, I decided I would either become a new person, chasing a dream that could transform my life, or remain a useless person forever. That was the turning point in my journey toward becoming someone new, with fresh hopes and dreams."

Today, Faisal holds three Guinness World Records:

— In 2018, he became the world’s fastest scuba diver, swimming 10 km in 5 hours and 24 minutes, surpassing a record set by an able-bodied diver in 2011. Faisal admits the toughest part of this achievement was enduring the grueling five-hour training sessions during preparation.
— In 2020, he set a record for the fastest snorkeling distance completion.
— In 2024, Faisal broke another record in the Dubai Mall Aquarium, covering 400 meters underwater in a wheelchair in just 37 minutes.

And his journey continues.

Faisal Jawad has also established a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Kuwait. As a motivational speaker, he empowers people with disabilities to believe in themselves and provides the support they need to pursue their dreams.

Faisal will join us at the Moscow Dive Show 2025 and, on opening day, take the stage to share his inspiring journey to setting world records. He will also talk about what helped him find inner strength and achieve remarkable success.
