"The Magadan climate is harsh not only because of frost and winds. In winter and spring, the water level in the Sea of ??Okhotsk can drop by 4-5 meters. The temperature of the sea water under the meter-thick ice drops to minus 2 degrees. This means that the coastal strip changes beyond recognition about twice a day. Cubic meters of ice floes form high hummocks on the water's edge and block the path to smooth ice and a lane. But all these difficulties are fully justified thanks to the unique underwater world of Magadan.
Ice hummocks, numerous shrimp, giant sea anemones, Kamchatka crabs, sunken ships and submarines - all this makes diving in Magadan unforgettable.
Our team discovered 5 sunken submarines in Nagaev Bay. We also examined the 125-meter steamship Vyborg, which sank as a result of an explosive explosion in 1947. The ship's bow was blown off by an explosion, the side was completely destroyed, and the ship sank immediately. Our team has been working on the Vyborg project for 12 years. The goal of the project was to create a general appearance of the ship.
In addition, an art project is being carried out in Magadan to implement plots in which both underwater inhabitants and models created by human hands take part.
