The underwater photography festival "Wild Underwater World" celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2024. For 10 years, starting in Moscow, the annually changing exposition has been traveling around Russian cities and beyond. For 10 years, the organizers and participants of the festival have been "raising the water's edge" for those who want to get acquainted with the beauty of the underwater world.
The underwater photography festival "Wild Underwater World" was founded in 2015 by the famous photographer, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia and the Russian Geographical Society Dmitry Vinogradov. The goal of the festival is to draw attention to the conservation of wildlife and give viewers the opportunity to see with their own eyes the beauty of the underwater world and its inhabitants.
The festival is named after Dmitry Vinogradov, who dedicated his life to the popularization of underwater photography and the preservation of the marine ecosystem. His contribution to the development of the festival and underwater photography in Russia remains significant and inspires a new generation of photographers.
Today, the work on organizing and holding the exhibition is carried out by an organizing committee of famous underwater photographers: Sergey Shanin, Evgenia Kirpichenkova, Andrey Narchuk, Oksana Kamenskaya, Marina Deriglazova, Mikhail Kutuzov.
Since its inception, the festival has become a traditional and anticipated event in the cultural life of Russia. It starts at the Moscow State Darwin Museum and then travels to cities such as Omsk, Kaliningrad, Uglich, Saransk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kislovodsk, Obninsk and Minsk.
In honor of the tenth anniversary, the festival team released an album of the best underwater photographs from all the years of its existence, including the works of almost a hundred authors. The festival continues to attract both famous photographers and beginners, providing them with a platform to demonstrate their work to a wide audience and participate in cultural and educational activities.

The show "Heroes of the Depth" will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 17:00 on the stage of Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. Any guest of the Moscow Dive Show 2025 can become a spectator of the show, just buy an entrance ticket to the exhibition.
