The film "Breath of the Deep" was shot during the first freediving festival "Under the Ice of Baikal" https://ice-baikal.ru/, where three heroines met - Maria Olshevskaya, Olga Markina and Marianna Gillespie.
Maria Olshevskaya is the only athlete who will dive in a swimsuit, she holds the record for holding her breath in statics in cold water without a wetsuit for 4 minutes 17 seconds. In turn, Olga Markina holds the Guinness record for diving in a wetsuit to a depth of 64 meters. Marianna Gillespie (Krupnitskaya), who set 6 world records in warm water, intends to break it. They have different goals, but the girls are passionate about the business and are ready to do a lot for new achievements.

The film was shot by the Production Center of the Film Studio named after M. Gorky https://gorkyfilm.ru/ with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Norilsk Development Agency and the Norilsk Nickel company, as well as the Freediving Federation.
At the Moscow Dive Show 2025, the film will be presented by its main characters: Olga Markina, Marianna Gillespie and Maria Olshevskaya, as well as the author of the idea and creative producer, FF Development Director Lida Drobysh. They will also talk about the second freediving festival "Under the Ice of Baikal", which will be held from March 16 to 21 in the village of Listvyanka.
